2. General Nursing Duties:

3. Specific Unit Related Nursing Care:
- Receives patients with cardiac disorder from various department of hospital.
- Prepares patients for CAG. Angioplasty and various other procedures done in Cath lab.
- Maintain aseptic technique and universal precaution all the time.
- Assist physician for various procedure done in Cath lab.
- Uses Crash cart in emergency.
- Administers medication as required.
- Monitors vital signs before during and after procedure.
- Assist in sheath removal.
- Assist patients in all daily leaving activities.
- Observes for post Cath complication and informs abnormalities to physician.
- Obtains ECG and reports to physician.
- Have basic knowledge about common diagnostic procedure done for cardiac patient.
- Obtain ABG blood sample and interpret ABG values.
- Assist in insertion of CVP line, monitors and maintains CVP line.
- Assist in defibrillation and Cardivertion.
4. Performs all other tasks as required by the department.
